Giving back to our community and beyond

From community initiatives to international campaigns, we support a wide range of charities and organisations who work hard to make Cornwall and the wider world a better place.

We are proud to support the following local organisations and charities through sponsorship:

The Cornwall Community Foundation awards small grants to charitable groups, in order to benefit local communities. Their main strategic areas of support align closely with our values of community engagement and social responsibility, including housing, opportunities for children, and the environment.

With 80% of Cornwall’s churches predating 1550, the Cornwall Historic Churches Trust’s essential task is to support these historic buildings, whilst helping any churches built after this period. The priority is to raise money and publicise the urgency in making Cornish churches weather-tight, but not at the expense of any artistic features. We believe local churches represent a historical and cultural significance, integral to Cornwall’s identity.

A charity that aligns with our commitment to addressing the housing crisis is Homes for Cornwall. Formed by business and community leaders within the Duchy, their aim is to encourage Cornish parishes to invest in a modest amount of new, affordable housing, helping future generations.

Ladock Parish Church is a local church which dates back to the fifteenth century. The church remains as the centre of the parish community and are currently raising funds to re-cast the church bells, with some dating back to the 17th Century. Raymond James, Truro is proud to sponsor the annual Ladock Church Fete raffle.

We’re dedicated to making a positive impact to the community through supporting Truro Food Bank, who work to stop hunger in our local area. Not only do they meet the immediate needs of those who are hungry, but they also provide advice and assistance to address the causes of poverty.

By donating to WaterAid, Raymond James, Truro is able to contribute towards providing clean water and sanitation to communities that need it most. The charity is determined to make good hygiene normal for everyone, a basic human need that we believe everyone deserves. They have directly reached 28 million people globally with clean water since 1981.

Musical organisations

At Raymond James, Truro we are extremely enthusiastic about the local musical landscape with both of our wealth managers, Simon and Alan, playing instruments. Simon plays second violin in the Cornwall Concert Orchestra whilst Alan plays both the guitar and piano.

Driven by our passion for music and its vital role in enhancing Cornwall’s cultural identity and well-being, Raymond James, Truro proudly supports various musical organisations and charities within our local community:

The Cornwall Concert Orchestra is a full symphony orchestra, rehearsing in Truro and playing concerts across Cornwall. The Orchestra seek to share the pleasure of live music, particularly in the hopes of inspiring future generations.

IMS Prussia Cove fosters new generations of the world’s most talented musicians, bringing emerging artists and acclaimed performers from across the world to make music in a remote part of Cornwall. Their outreach programme responds to a need for high-quality music education and performance in rural areas by bringing musicians and young people together.

The Three Spires Singers is recognised as one of the leading choirs in the South-West, comprising of musicians predominantly from Devon and Cornwall. The majority of the choir’s concerts are staged within Truro Cathedral, the centrepiece of the city.
